This policy applies to all information collected by the CIVIC golf app and this website. It applies to CIVIC golf version 2.1.0 and later. Prior to that version the app was named Caddieapp. The privacy policy for earlier versions is available here: Caddieapp Privacy Policy
Information we collect
CIVIC golf stores its user data, such as golf rounds that you’ve played, within the app, on your device(s). It also uses your own iCloud account for syncing purposes. We never have access to your iCloud data. It is synced directly between your device and Apple’s servers and is not transmitted to us.
The app does not send any logging or analytics data to us. The only outbound communication from the app is to search for courses and load course data. We do not collect analytics. Apple may collect aggregate usage data per their Terms of Service, linked below.
We use backend services hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to serve course search and data requests. These services record logs, including the date, time, and IP address of requests, as well as details of the data being requested, such as a course name or ID. We intentionally omit the requester’s location and other sensitive user information from logs.
We use WordPress and Gravity Forms for this website, which is self-hosted on AWS. If you choose to contact us, we collect your first name, last name, and email address solely in order to reply to your message. You may request deletion of this information at any time by contacting us.
